JUVEP Missionary Project #72
On Sunday January 26, 2020, the 72nd JUVEP Missionary Project completed evangelism in the city of Porto da Folha, Sergipe, Brazil. This is in the Brazilian Sertão.
It is with great joy that we report to you some results of this work. This completed a 21 day effort. Our evangelism team was more than 100 people. This team came from the most diverse states across Brasil and included representatives of many evangelical denominations in Brazil.
The Statistics - Missionary Project to Porto da Folha
Here are some statistics:
• 904 people were personally evangelized;
• 131 confessed Jesus as their Savior and Lord;
• 169 people (not converted) who want to know more about the Word of God through Bible studies
Good News of Good Results
• A church planted in the city of Porto da Folha-SE
• Two preaching points were opened: one in the community of Lagoa da Volta and another in Quilombo Mucambo
• Many testimonies that exalted the name of the Lord.
I want to thank you who prayed and / or contributed for this project to happen. It is wonderful to see what the Lord does through those who are willing to preach the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you more every day.
One town - Three people groups
Most of the people in the town of Porto da Folha are Sertanejos. These are Brazilians living in the Sertão. However, on this Mission trip, other people groups were contacted. This included a Quilombola community and an Indigenous community. This was a successful Missionary Project.
